My name is Bea Mienik! I’m an NYC-based performer, musician, and writer, originally from Tampa, FL. Stories have always mattered to me - especially the stories of generally underrepresented groups. I am a graduate of NYU Steinhardt's Vocal Performance Musical Theatre Program (Bachelor of Music), Class of 2025, where I studied vocal techique and all eras of MT. I specialize in contemporary MT and jazz styles.
Before I was a performer, I was a writer. I’ve worked in all writing styles, including satire/ comedy (Staff Writer at Squeaky Wheel Media), creative, promotional (BroadwayWorld.com), and personal essays/ opinion pieces (Scholastic Book Company National Award Winner), disability inclusion, as well as being rejected from NYT’s Modern Love a whopping seven times (one day I’ll impress you, Daniel Jones). Currently, I'm a sketch writer for (and co-founder of) What'd You Say? Productions. See our videos here.
One of my other passions is disability advocacy and inclusion, and that's why I created Bea Talks T1D, a series of videos educating the public on Type 1 Diabetes, in 90 seconds or less. I am also a member of Breakthrough T1D's (Formerly JDRF) Young Adult Advocacy Council (Class of 2025-2027). I aided in campaigning on Capitol Hill for T1D research funding with YAAC in March 2026.
Eventually, my goal is to write my own show and perform in it!
When I’m not doing the aforementioned smorgasbord of things, you can find me on the beach, re-watching Hacks, listening to Carole King, playing Pokemon, and telling my cat she is the Prettiest Girl in the World.
PICTURED: A bow? Pre-Macarena? Kite imitation? Definitely a "nice to see you!" Conveniently, it IS very nice to see you here on my "about me" page!
