About.

HELLO, GORGEOUS!

My name is Bea Mienik! I’m an NYC-based performer, musician, and writer, originally from Tampa, FL. Stories have always mattered to me - especially the stories of generally underrepresented groups. This led me to New York University’s Vocal Performance program at Steinhardt, with a concentration in Music Theatre, where I’m slated to graduate in Spring 2025.

Before I was a performer, I was a writer. I’ve worked in all writing styles, including creative, promotional (BroadwayWorld.com), and personal essays/ opinion pieces (Scholastic Book Company National Award Winner), disability inclusion, as well as being rejected from NYT’s Modern Love a whopping seven times (one day I’ll impress you, Daniel Jones). I hope to join my two loves and write my own musical, once I become a piano and music theory prodigy overnight (or do it the normal way: lots of practice).

One of my other passions is disability advocacy and inclusion, and that's why I created Bea Talks T1D, a series of videos educating the public on Type 1 Diabetes, in 90 seconds or less. Check out Bea Talks T1D here.

There's also the incoherent Google doc I have going called "Bea's stand up material ideas"... but we don't talk about that. Unless you're Lorne Michaels.

When I’m not performing or learning piano, you can find me on the beach, making a to-do list, listening to Carole King, playing Pokemon games, and telling my cat she is the Prettiest Girl in the World.

PICTURED: A bow? Pre-Macarena? Kite imitation? Definitely a "nice to see you!" Conveniently, it IS very nice to see you here on my "about me" page!
